“Born Mercedes Grabowski in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1994, Ames had found her way to the adult-film PF industry” (https://www.google.com/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5153965/amp/Porn-star-August-Ames-23-dead.html)
Truly, this news forces one to contemplate the nature of life and death in our dehumanizing, spectacle-filled world. Perhaps, assuming free will, we really do have to take responsibility for the lives we live and how we treat others; most, including Albert Camus, would call this a basic sense of ethics and simple, human decency. I met Mercedes Grabowski aka August Ames once, when she visited nyc. She struck me as an infectiously joyous and lascivious young woman. But, as the inscription on Jim Morrison’s gravestone implies, we all have our demons to whom we must stay true (“ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ, literally meaning ‘according to his own daemon’ and usually interpreted as ‘true to his own spirit’”). Sadly, Morrison’s family also had to bury a child who died before reaching the age of 30. This world, of our post-Columbus polluted paradigm, seems to thrive on feeding off of the energy of young people—most dramatically those who find themselves bathed in the burning hot, bright lights of fame with a particularly vibrant tradition in soul-sucking California. Let me avoid getting overly philosophical. Practically speaking, Mercedes Grabowski's clearly tragic life speaks volumes about her specific struggles, including sexual abuse and cyber bullying, and on a larger scale about why if possible we must, with swadeshi and every possible means, discover and practice more harmonious and holistically viable ways of living, thus pleasurably and happily. And if anything does exist in the realms that Alan Watts spoke so much about--tat tvam asi--I hope Mercedes Grabowski as part of the Oneness of our Existence wakes up in a better part of the Celestial Experience and dream; her life brought and will continue to bring enlightenment to all conscious minds—Thank You Very Much.

Please refund my money ASAP and as much as possible! This was the most filthy hotel that I have ever visited. After fleeing my room at its inhuman horror and decrepitude (combined with someone, who claimed to be on the staff, barging into my room in my first 5 minutes in there without even knocking even though the door was locked; btw, even the deadbolt on the door was broken, so there’s no way I could have prevented that if I had tried), I had to book another hotel instead, after wasting my money—due in large part to their misleading pictures and description on Orbitz. Oh and perhaps the final straw was the clearly unsafe parking lot littered with a surprisingly large number of cars with flat / punctured tires. No thanks. Never again! And don’t try to claim because the rooms are cheap, one should expect this. For a mere $15 extra per night, I managed to stay in a far better hotel—specifically a tta Hilton PF which I PADF own increasingly profitably PADF for PADF me PADF, including via ticker PK, only 5 miles away and I have stayed in immaculate beach front property in the Dutch Caribbean for $50 or less per night.

On Monday, December 11, 2021, someone stole several of my possessions at the Ramada located at 11714 Morris Bridge Rd
Tampa, FL, 33637. Quite frankly, especially since COVID, my time in Tampa is the worst that I've ever known. Including a horrible filthy hotel that I had to flee—and intend to get a refund for—prior to my stay at the Ramada, Tampa is more vile and horrible than anytime in my history of visiting here. The entire country is going down the toilet—especially since COVID. Fortunately, all of this will have to end at some point for everyone. Nothing lasts forever. The end is very near for all of this unbearable terror. As Sartre said, hell truly is other people. Avoiding them is a priority!

ReplyDeleteDon’t worry; I appreciate and thank you for your gracious and loving ways. Yes, this world and our very human nature are ongoing obstacles to enlightenment and compassionate behavior—not to mention huge challenges for the arguably more practically ambitious path of PF optimizing PADF our well-being. Ce la vie. One can only do so much. As you said Richard used to say—in line with stoicism—it is what it is. Sinequanonology PADF thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteOde to Melanie of Walmart of so wonderfully heavenly handing me back my car keys de rental; wow leaves me speechless and totally loving best medio of humanity encores! I mean she saved me from so much stress and raated hellish terror. Truly words can barely describe how suspiciously it was that as soon as I noticed it—as I was talking to another Walmart worker (apparently a manager, according to Melanie, though she looked exceedingly young for that position but then again so did Daniel who I told about the kindness of Melanie) that it was not attached to the key ring anymore with the freecams bottle opener—she immediately walked over to me and handed it to me. No stress; no fuss; no hassle; no need for paperwork etc. As of today, though somewhat a posteriori / after the fact of a epiphanous experience , I love Tampa and humanity in the best way again. There is not only benevolence but truly selfless loving awesomeness in the world—such a proof couldn’t have come / emerged at a better time (especially given recent challenges).
